Welcome to The Point Chiropractic and Acupuncture P.C., a family practice in Mineola. Our care is led by Dr. Lawrence Luo and Dr. Yang Wei, two doctors who share a commitment to treating the whole person — not just the symptom — and to giving every patient a clear, personalized plan for feeling and moving better.
Dr. Yang Wei D.C. LAc.
Dr. Yang Wei — known to patients as Dr. Wei — is a rare dual-licensed provider: a New York State Doctor of Chiropractic and a NY-licensed, NCCAOM board-certified acupuncturist, with additional certification in nutrition. She blends Western chiropractic with Traditional Chinese Medicine — acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion — to treat pain, stress, sleep problems, fertility and women's health, and post-surgical recovery. Because she is dual-licensed, Dr. Wei can deliver both chiropractic and acupuncture in a single Combined Care session, giving patients truly integrated treatment from one doctor.
Dr. Wei had her Bachelor degree of Chinese Medicine in Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China (南京中医药大学), which includes Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine with one year hospital internship. After that, Dr. Wei continued her education for Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition in Northeast College of Health Sciences (New York Chiropractic College). Dr. Wei is certified in Sports Injury Management, Fascial Movement Taping, Connective Tissue Therapy, Activator Method. She is also experienced with weight loss, stress relief, beauty, neuromuscular pain issues.
Dr. Lawrence Luo D.C. CHES
Dr. Lawrence Luo is a New York State–licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and clinic director of The Point. He specializes in general and sports chiropractic, using soft-tissue techniques such as instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM), trigger-point release, and pin-and-stretch. Dr. Luo focuses on finding and treating the root cause of pain — not just chasing symptoms — and builds every patient an individualized plan with clear education about their condition so they move better and stay well.
Dr. Lawrence Luo graduated from Truman State University in 2008 with a Bachelor degree in Health Science, Biology and as a Certified Health Education Specialist. He also obtained a degree in Biochemistry from University of Missouri Saint Louis. He then went on to advance his education at Northeast College of Health Sciences (New York Chiropractic College). He is experienced in developing treatment plans for patients seeking an effective course of treatment that brings them back to a better quality of life. With a decade of experience treating patients from sports injuries, auto accidents, work related injuries, personal injuries to wellness care, sports medicine related treatments. Dr. Luo has more than demonstrated his abilities and experience in chiropractic care.
