Chiropractic alone tends to fit mechanical problems — restricted joint motion, a stiff neck or mid-back pulling on the shoulder, pain that changes clearly with movement. Acupuncture alone tends to fit soft tissue and pain signaling — a persistent ache or burning, trigger points, tension that returns regardless of how you move. Most ongoing tightness is both at once, which is why treating one at a time often stalls. We examine you at your first visit and tell you which we would recommend.

An adjustment restores joint motion; acupuncture addresses the surrounding muscle tension and pain signaling. Treated separately, each is working around what the other has not reached yet. In our clinical experience, patients who receive both in one visit tend to hold their adjustments longer and need fewer total visits.

Yes. We are open on Saturdays 9 AM to 7 PM, plus Monday 3 to 7 PM and Tuesday and Thursday 9 AM to 7 PM. Same-day appointments are available — you can book online up to 2 hours before your appointment time during office hours. New patients are typically seen the same week, often the same day. No referral is needed.

In-network with Northwell Direct for chiropractic and acupuncture. We are applying for in-network status with Aetna, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, and Cigna — expected spring 2027. Many plans include out-of-network benefits for chiropractic and acupuncture; we provide an itemized superbill after each visit for reimbursement. Self-pay is always welcome.

Depending on what your exam shows, a visit may also include cupping, electrical stimulation, instrument-assisted soft tissue work, therapeutic stretches, or manual therapy. Dr. Wei also holds a master’s degree in clinical nutrition, so nutrition counseling can be added when it is relevant to your case.
