Chiropractor in Mineola, NY

At The Point Chiropractic and Acupuncture P.C., our Mineola chiropractic care is built around one idea: find and fix the root cause of your pain, not just quiet the symptoms. Our clinic is led by two New York State–licensed Doctors of Chiropractic and co-owners — Dr. Lawrence Luo, DC and Dr. Yang Wei, DC, LAc — a husband-and-wife team helping people across Nassau County move better, hurt less, and get back to the activities they love, whether that's lifting a grandchild, returning to the gym, or simply sitting through a workday without back pain.

Conditions we help with

Chiropractic care is one of the most effective, drug-free options for many common musculoskeletal problems. We regularly treat: low back pain (acute strains, chronic stiffness, disc-related pain); neck pain and "tech neck"; sciatica and radiating leg pain; headaches and migraines (tension and cervicogenic); shoulder, hip, knee, and other joint pain; sports injuries and overuse conditions; poor posture and work-related strain; and pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain. If you're not sure whether chiropractic is right for you, we offer a free 10-minute phone consultation before you book.

What a visit looks like

Your first visit begins with a thorough consultation and exam. Your doctor takes the time to understand your history, your goals, and how your pain is affecting your daily life, then assesses your range of motion, posture, and the specific joints and soft tissue involved and explains what they find in plain language. In most cases you'll receive your first treatment the same day. Follow-up visits are focused and efficient — beyond the adjustment, we may use soft-tissue therapy, mechanical traction, and modalities such as electrical stimulation or ultrasound to speed recovery. We re-examine your progress on a regular schedule so your plan reflects how you're actually responding.

Our techniques

Both of our doctors are licensed chiropractors and use a blend of manual and instrument-based methods tailored to each patient: diversified (hands-on) adjustments; instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM) for scar tissue and adhesions; trigger-point release and pin-and-stretch for tight muscles; and gentle, low-force techniques for pregnant patients, children, and those who prefer a lighter touch. Dr. Luo brings a focus on sports and soft-tissue chiropractic, while Dr. Wei — dual-licensed in chiropractic and acupuncture— can blend both disciplines when it benefits your care.

Why patients choose The Point

A root-cause philosophy — we treat why you're in pain, not just where. Two doctors, one integrated team — because co-owner Dr. Wei is dual-licensed in chiropractic and acupuncture, we can combine both in a single Combined Care visit when that's best for you, something most clinics simply can't offer. Transparent, personalized care with clear plans and honest re-exams. Convenient and accessible — in Mineola with wheelchair access and parking; HSA/FSA accepted; superbills provided on request.

FAQs

Is chiropractic care safe? Yes — for most people it's a safe, effective, drug-free treatment for musculoskeletal pain. We screen every patient during the exam and tailor technique to your needs.

Do I need a referral? No. You can book directly.

Who will I see? Either Dr. Luo or Dr. Wei — both are licensed chiropractors.

Will it hurt? Most patients feel relief, not pain. Some feel mild, temporary soreness after the first adjustment, like after exercise.

Do you take my insurance? In-network with Northwell Direct for chiropractic and acupuncture. We are applying for in-network status with Aetna, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, and Cigna — expected spring 2027. Many plans include out-of-network benefits for chiropractic and acupuncture; we provide an itemized superbill after each visit for reimbursement. Self-pay is always welcome.
